About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Salesforce Functional Analyst to join our team. As a Senior Salesforce Functional Analyst, you will turn business needs into Salesforce solutions that help our teams manage the client relationships, proposals, and contracts that make clinical research possible. This position plays a key role in requirements gathering, solution design, user acceptance testing, and process improvement, ensuring that every change serves the people who use it.
You will collaborate with project managers, developers, quality assurance teams, and business stakeholders, work within Agile methodologies, and contribute from initial requirements through implementation. Responsibilities include gathering and documenting requirements, designing Salesforce solutions, configuring declarative tools, supporting user acceptance testing, developing change management strategies, and continuously improving how we use Salesforce, with opportunities to deepen your expertise and influence outcomes.
You'll join a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment focused on making a meaningful impact through well-designed Salesforce solutions and clear, actionable requirements. With diverse teams and continuous learning opportunities, the Salesforce Business Analyst can explore career paths and expand skills across the Salesforce platform, Agile delivery, and the clinical research business.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Conduct workshops and interviews with stakeholders to elicit and document detailed business requirements. Create user stories, acceptance criteria, and use cases to communicate requirements clearly to technical teams, and create Visio flows that document new and existing business processes and functionality
- Solution Design: Collaborate with the team to develop comprehensive solution designs that leverage Salesforce capabilities to meet business objectives. Evaluate and recommend appropriate Salesforce features and third-party applications to enhance business processes
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Support: Develop UAT plans and test scenarios, and support business stakeholders with test data creation, training, and demos. Analyze UAT results and work with development teams to address any issues
- Salesforce Configuration: Administer a range of declarative solutions in support of sprint work and resolve production issues when needed. Implement and maintain Salesforce configurations that support business requirements
- Process Improvement: Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities for optimization using Salesforce capabilities. Propose and design process improvements that increase efficiency and user adoption
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Work closely with project managers, developers, and quality assurance teams to align business needs with technical solutions. Facilitate communication between IT and business units, manage stakeholder expectations, and provide regular updates on project progress
- Change Management: Develop and execute change management strategies that support smooth adoption of new Salesforce features and processes. Create training materials and conduct user training sessions as needed
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current on the latest Salesforce releases and features, assessing their potential impact and benefits for the organization. Proactively suggest improvements to business processes and Salesforce utilization, and mentor junior team members in Salesforce business analysis practices and methodologies
You'll thrive in this role if you bring:

- A proven track record of providing exceptional customer service to stakeholders at all levels, including C-suite leaders, and managing production issues with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build relationships and facilitate decisions across diverse stakeholder groups
